Salience Labs showcases 64-port OCS at ECOC 2026

At ECOC Exhibition, September 21–23 in Málaga, Spain, Salience Labs is unveiling its latest All-Optical Circuit Switch (OCS) technology with a demonstration of its 64-port silicon photonic OCS at Stand #2010.

In addition to the live demonstration, Max Thurmer, Head of System Architecture, will also take the stage at 11:55 am on Tuesday, September 22, to discuss “Taking OCS from Scale-out to Scale-up,” and Jim Finch, VP Commercial and Market Strategy, will present “Enable Better AI Model Performance with All-Optical Networking,” on September 23 at 12:35 pm. The sessions will examine why networking is becoming increasingly important to AI performance and where silicon-photonics-based OCS fits into next-generation rack-scale architectures.

Salience Labs’ CTO and co-founder Johannes Feldmann will also be present at the Optica Global Photonics Economic Forum, also in Málaga, on September 24–25 to further discuss the importance of optics for AI infrastructure.

Salience Labs will continue the conversation at the Optica+APC Photonic-Enabled Cloud Computing (PECC) Summit on October 21 in Sunnyvale, California, an executive-level gathering focused on photonics for cloud and AI infrastructure. CEO and co-founder Vaysh Kewada will speak at 8:45 am PT as part of a panel on “Rethinking AI Infrastructure: Optical Switching and Photonic Acceleration.” Alongside executives from PsiQuantum, Lightelligence, iPronics, and Q.ANT, she’ll dive into how OCS will reshape data movement between compute resources and what will be required to take these technologies to deployment at scale.
